This is my twelve year teaching in the Peoria Unified School District and I am thrilled to be returning to Sunset Heights. I spent 8 years at Alta Loma Elementary and opened Sunset Heights in 2014. . I taught 3rd grade for 7 years and the last 4 years in 4th.

I grew up in Camp Verde, a very small town in northern Arizona The first school I went to was also quite miniscule. There were only 2 students in my first grade classroom! I grew up playing golf (as my WHOLE family loved it) but my true passion was riding my horse, Apache and playing softball!

My husband, Bill, and I have 2 sons, Ryan and Austin. Ryan, the oldest, graduated from A.S.U. (as did I…Go Devils!) and works for Honeywell. In November, 2012, he married Charlotte, who is from Child Okeford,  United Kingdom. She graduated from A.S.U. and owns/runs her own fitness studio!  My youngest son, Austin, spent 6 years in the Navy Reserves, completed his college degree in Business through N.A.U., and is a financial planner/coach. He loves animals, just like me! My favorite season season! My family is from Minnesota, so can you guess my favorite NFL Team?

I believe that parent-teacher communication is extremely important and I encourage you to contact me with any and all questions or concerns. I will be available by e-mail, school phone, or by sending a note back in your child's agenda.

I have high expectatiFamily2013.jpgons of my students. I believe that every student has a right to learn in an environment they feel safe in. I know that students learn in different ways and together we will work hard to succeed. I want each school day to be as exciting for my students as it is for me. By working with each other, I believe we can make 4th grade both successful and memorable!
